As a member of the Martin's Family, the Maintenance Technician Supervisor is primarily responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating maintenance and repairs of production machinery and mechanical equipment.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:

Other duties as assigned.
Tests, maintains, and evaluates equipment performance.
Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
Repairs or replaces defective parts.
Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
Lubricates and cleans parts.
Starts devices to test their performance.
Sets up and operates drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
Repairs electrical equipment.
Performs skilled maintenance activities including welding, brazing, soldering, and plumbing.
Checks and repairs pumps, fans, valves and motors.
Adjusts, repairs, and replaces electrical and electronic pneumatic relays.
Performs preventative maintenance.
Operates hand saw, drill press, and electric drill.
Maintains tools and machinery in good condition and uses all tools carefully and as instructed.
Develops, implements, and reviews regular maintenance work orders.
Coordinates, arranges, and supervises or provides for the completion of corrective and preventative maintenance in accordance with operating procedures, practices and financial considerations.
Supervises maintenance of buildings, grounds, equipment and machinery.
Responsible for loss or damage of maintenance tools and materials.
Follows safety procedures and regulations.
Handles employee issues such as performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Adheres to safety, food safety, quality and Good Manufacturing Practices regulations.
Reports safety, food safety, and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
Supervisor
Responsibilities:
Directly supervises employees in the Maintenance Department.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; attending leadership development courses as offered and leading company culture initiatives.
Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or GED; Two years' supervisory experience; Four years related maintenance experience.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Operates forklift and mobile carts.
Mechanically inclined.
Knowledge of electrical principles.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
