Menno Haven is the area's largest and most well-respected retirement community whose reputation and legacy have stood the test of time.
As a non-profit, faith based, complete Life Plan Community (1350 residents), all levels of care are provided including independent living, personal care, skilled nursing and rehabilitative care at two distinct communities in Chambersburg, PA.
The Director of Nursing will report to the Administrator and serve as a critical member of the rehab centers leadership team who will nurture a positive culture based on the core values of Belief, Integrity, Teamwork, Excellence and Service.
The Director of Nursing will be responsible for 40
team members.
THE ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Organizes, administrates and supervises the total nursing service program in compliance with the regulatory process and operational guidelines.
Modifies nursing care policies and/or procedures to maintain highest practicable well-being of each resident.
Participates in preparation of the Nursing Department budget and is responsible to operate the Nursing Department within the confines of the budget.
Serves on interdisciplinary teams as requested (i.
e.
, RCC, Nutrition, HCPT, Therapy, Behavior Management, etc.
).
Demonstrates safe work practices using all safe guards and safety equipment and follows established safety rules, procedures and policies.
THE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Graduate of State approved school of nursing and current licensure as a Registered Nursing in the State of PA required.
Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a nursing leadership role in a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), long term care, skilled nursing or rehabilitation center.
THE AREA Menno Haven is located in south central Pennsylvania, in the heart of Franklin County, midway between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.
Bordered to the south by the Maryland state line.
Menno Haven is located along the I-81 corridor running north and south.
