The Community Outreach Coordinator is key in helping to maintain and expand awareness and support of OSI.
Full-time would be 40 hours per week with some evening/weekend work in order to attend community events.
Full benefits package for full-time.
Part-time would be 30 hours per week with some evening/weekend work.
Part-time benefits include health insurance, 401k, paid leave, and paid holidays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain relationships with members of the community.
Attend events sponsored by local chambers of commerce and other community marketing/networking events to increase awareness of OSI and maintain/build community partnerships.
Assist in planning, development, implementation, and organization of events and volunteers to advance the mission and goals of the company.
Explore and develop new fundraising opportunities in coordination with the management team, such as events, planned giving, grants, business and private donations.
In coordination with the Executive Director and management team, organize community outreach programs, execute annual membership drive, and coordinate special events that will influence public opinion or promote products, services, or ideas of the company.
Use social media to provide information and enhance community relations.
Maintain OSI's Facebook, LinkedIn, and website with up-to-date information and announcements.
Respond to inquiries from community members and other interested parties; when needed, recruit a knowledgeable spokesperson, or find appropriate information sources.
Accurately tracks all outreach and marketing activities.
Participates in management level operational and strategic planning.
Strives to achieve goals and growth targets identified in the organization's strategic plan.
Responsible for the development and maintenance of media and advertising lists with contact information appropriate for the community.
Responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of outreach activities, events and advertisements on a quarterly basis and providing a report to the Executive Director Publication and Print Duties In coordination with the Executive Director, write and publish various content pieces for internal and external publications/media that promote the company, as well as individuals or groups within the company.
Act as editor of OSI publications, securing content from other staff members as needed.
Responsible for designing, printing, and distributing OSI publications, such as newsletters, marketing materials, golf tournament program, annual report, etc.
as scheduled.
Operate Print Shop equipment including copiers, paper cutter, folding machine, and postage machine as needed to assist with fulfilling marketing and internal publication needs.
Qualifications:
An associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of (1) year of community engagement and/or customer service-related experience preferred.
Minimum qualification of high school diploma/GED and three (3) years' experience in community engagement and/or customer service.
Proficient level of computer literacy required with ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite, WordPress, LinkedIn, Facebook, and other similar platforms.
Experience with Adobe layout, design, and print preferred.
High degree of professionalism, self-motivation, enthusiasm, and awareness of strategies to engage community partners and resources.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to create and deliver informative and engaging presentations.
