ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Production Assistant - Perform duties as assigned including light manufacturing, assembly, packaging, and other production department tasks.
Ensure quality of work meets customer standards.
Assignments can be in either of OSI's facilities or in the community.
Provide job training and supervision to individuals with intellectual, developmental, or mental health disabilities in order to fulfil subcontract work for various customers.
Complete daily time and job records for individuals responsible for supervising.
Must possess a reasonable level of reading, writing and comprehension skills to complete required tasks on a daily basis.
Basic computer skills.
Driver (relief) - Operate assigned vehicles to transport personnel and/or materials within a 50 mile radius of Chambersburg, PA.
Load and unload supplies, equipment and other cargo.
Work closely and effectively with staff responsible for warehouse organization and functions.
Assist in warehouse operation and organization as needed.
Driver will also ensure that vehicles are loaded correctly and contain items and quantities as listed on OSI ship orders.
Ensure that cargo is safely secured in the vehicle prior to operation and safely unload upon trip completion.
Complete daily vehicle inspections prior to trip.
Complete preventative maintenance including cleaning of assigned vehicles, maintain proper tire inflation, gas, oil, water, etc.
Record and submit mileage and other information as required on a timely basis.
Must be capable of attending and completing a forklift training program either given by OSI or by a local company.
Must demonstrate sound judgment and maturity with respect to safely operating the forklift and vehicles.
Must have a reasonable level of reading and writing to assure adequate management of assignments.
Increase to $16.
00 the first pay period after 30-day successful introductory period.
Vacation and sick time begin accruing on first day of work.
Health benefits start the first of the month following date of hire.
