Responsibilities:
DSP - (FLOOR SUPERVISOR) The Floor Supervisor is responsible for completion of work performed by clients within the facility.
The position encompasses all of the relevant functions associated with this work, both rehabilitative and production oriented.
The DSP or Job Coach Assure that the work center is ready to operate when the client workday begins.
Have work set up for client processing.
Obtain materials/supplies from warehouse as needed.
The DSP or Job Coach will Supervise and instruct assigned clients regarding the correct, timely and safe completion of assigned work.
The DSP or Job Coach will Complete accurate work counts and times, and document this information to assure client wages for work completed is accurate.
Monitor client outcomes and attendance, as well as completing monthly progress reports.
Maintain contact with Program Specialists with regard to client's overall performance and behaviors.
Understand that the client's Program Specialist has final authority and responsibility for a client's daily program activities.
Attend client meetings as appropriate.
Be fully aware of intellectual, physical, and medical limitations and needs of each client making adjustments for such limitations per program specialist directions.
Ensure that the work center is safe, clean and orderly.
Ensure that the work being completed meets quality assurance standards.
Provide work training to clients in regard to subcontract work, as well during periods of downtime through the use of sample work.
Ensure that work is distributed evenly and fairly to clients, with consideration given to individual capabilities.
Job Coach Perform on-the-job training and supervision with assigned clients in community businesses and organizations.
Provide assigned clients with continuous supervision including enforcement of OSI and host work site(s) rules, including strict adherence to safety guidelines.
Model good work behaviors and habits by adhering to employer and host work site expectations, rules, and policies, including following prescribed work/ break schedules.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, OSI management, OSI staff, and host business staff through positive, professional communications and behavior.
Provide transportation to and from job site for clients in agency owned vehicles.
