The turf technician is a full-time, hourly employee under the direct supervision of the Superintendent of Golf Course and Grounds.
The turf technician works together with the Superintendent to perform the necessary preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure that the fleet of golf course equipment is operating properly.
This position would include but would not be limited to the following duties:
Duties:
Responsible for the daily adjustment, grinding, and preventative maintenance of all light and heavy duty equipment.
Responsible for small engine repair.
Occasional mowing and other course care which may be trained on the job.
Welding and light fabrication.
Requirements:
A working knowledge of equipment maintenance, specifically lawn care/golf course equipment.
Individuals must have the ability to work independently and in all weather conditions.
Must be a dependable individual that takes pride in their work.
Previous golf course experience with maintaining, adjusting, and grinding of walk behind reel mowers is a plus.
Own tools.
Daily detail records.
Must communicate efficiently with staff Schedule:
