Summary:
Performs personnel duties by maintaining information, managing payroll, corresponding to questions and requests, and if bilingual, translating information to and from Spanish speaking employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (Performs other assignments or duties as required.
) Participates in payroll processes by maintaining and entering payroll information into database.
Performs administrative responsibilities by sorting and distributing paychecks, answering phone calls and referring to correct department, preparing and distributing terminations, and maintaining schedules and information on bulletin boards.
Assists in the providing of employee benefits by enrolling employees to unions (where applicable) and 401(k) plans.
If bilingual, provides employee services by translating documents, questions, and other correspondence to Spanish speaking employees.
Performing new hire orientations to inform employees of Knouse Foods business processes.
Tracks absent employees by auditing absentee reports.
Maintains information by entering training records, filing forms and documents for future reference, and creating and maintaining personnel files.
Ensures personnel information correctness by analyzing and error checking weekly reports.
Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Contributes to the Company effort by continually looking for ways to improve productivity and customer orientation within department by use of better technology, procedures, and use of resources.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge/skills by using the performance appraisal system to access personal strengths and development needs to accomplish the strategic goals of the organization.
