Commercial Lines Underwriter Growing multi-line/multi-state Property-Casualty Insurance Company has an immediate full-time opening for a Commercial Lines Underwriter.
Position is responsible for underwriting, profitability, growth and retention of new and renewal business that is consistent with underwriting strategies for assigned agencies within the company's territory.
Candidate must have strong technical multi-line underwriting skills; strong knowledge of Property/Casualty business and products; analytical, problem solving and decision making skills; establishes strong relationships and networks within the department, the company and agency force; strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; strong negotiation skills; ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and work effectively in a fast-paced, decision-oriented environment; understands business objectives and responds to related issues; can act in a decisive manner to achieve financial objectives; ability to assimilate change; and have strong computer skills including rating systems, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Minimum of three years commercial underwriting experience required.
Professional designation desired.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
