ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST

The Public In order to qualify, you must meet the Specialized Experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes:
1) minimizing environmental risks by evaluating compliance with Federal, State, and local environmental laws, regulations, and policies; 2) analyzing the environmental impact of operations by conducting environmental assessments; 3) implementing environmental programs such as Clean Air, Clean Water, Resource Conservation and Recovery ,and Solid Waste Management. GS-11 Have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes:
1)Determining resource requirements necessary for accomplishing program goals); 2) Updating plans for accomplishing environmental project goals; AND 3) Making recommendations for change in policy and procedures to solve environmental protection problems.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
