Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. One year of specialized experience at the GS-09 level. Specialized experience is defined as experience which includes processing deliveries of ammunition, managing DOD and commercial intermodal containers, providing guidance to personnel on the distribution and storage of munition deliveries and serving as subject matter authority in the receipt processes of munitions and containers. To qualify for the GS-11 position based on education in lieu of specialized experience described above, applicant must have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR Three (3) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. Education must be from a college or university accredited by an organization approved by the U.S. Department of Education. Experience:
Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements. First determine your total qualifying experience as a percentage. To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal 100 percent to qualify. You must submit a transcript as supporting documentation. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
