Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element):
Ability to do the work of an Electronics Mechanic without more than normal supervision. Your resume must demonstrate the ability to perform common Electronics Mechanic duties, which includes performing maintenance on electrical units; and determining the correct trouble shooting methods to be used, performed under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (Screen-out Element)Ability To Use Hand and Power Tools - ElectronicsIngenuity (Ability To Suggest and Apply New Methods)Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.Theory of ElectronicsTrouble shooting (Electronic Equipment)Use of Test Equipment:
Electronics Physical Effort-Work required frequent bending, standing and stooping in tiring positions and protracted periods at consoles and/or benches. Required to lift, push or pull a variety of items weighing up to 40 pounds. Some assignments require climbing. Working Conditions-Normally works in well lighted, heated and ventilated shop areas and occasionally outside. Subject to the possibility of cuts, bruises burns, and shock caused by high voltage energy, soldering irons, radiation. etc. May be required personal protective clothing and/or equipment.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
